Updates on MAERSK vessels: 1- EUGEN MAERSK (IMO 9321550) AND METTE MAERSK (IMO 9632155) have now been diverted via the Cape of Good Hope. These two container ships were supposed to sail through the Red Sea prior to the attack on the MAERSK HANGZHOU by the end of Dec. I have been following specific ships to get a better idea of the impact of the attacks, and transit through the Red Sea.
The METTE MAERSK was already sailing in the Gulf of Aden when MAERSK HANGZHOU was attacked, and it had to change course. Both the METTE MAERSK and EUGEN MAERSK were in a waiting status over the past days before the diversions.
