The fight between Wall Street and retail investors has landed at the airport with a “retail hijacking” under way, according to one analyst.
American Airlines Group stock (ticker: AAL) soared after the company reported earnings Thursday morning. Shares of American rose as much as 20% in early trading, though recently pared some of those gains to trade 10% higher at around $18. American’s stock was one of the most heavily-traded issues on Thursday, with more than 196 million shares trading.
